Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, scalable, responsive software using modern technologies.
- Build backend services with Node.js and TypeScript and frontend applications with React.js and TypeScript.
- Design and implement APIs, distributed services, data models, and real-time collaborative functionality.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable code and contribute to engineering standards across product teams.
- Create technical documentation, reusable patterns, and examples to scale engineering knowledge.
- Use AI tools such as Claude and Cursor for development, research, documentation, and bug triage while maintaining quality and security.
- Maintain and support legacy codebases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and represent Box Poland’s engineering excellence internally and externally.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to and triage production issues.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript for backend development.
- Experience designing and implementing APIs and distributed services, with knowledge of system design and data modeling.
- Experience designing, building, and deploying high-quality software in cloud environments.
- Expertise in HTML and CSS and experience with at least one modern frontend framework such as React.
- Understanding of state management, accessibility, performance, security basics, algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming.
- Ability to implement new technologies in existing products and demonstrate ownership in technical work and team interactions.
- Proficient in English.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Amazon Web Services is preferred.
- Experience with WebSockets, real-time applications, and cross-platform solutions is preferred.
