Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Partner with CISOs, cloud architects, and platform engineering leaders to develop resilient, scalable architectural blueprints.
- Guide enterprise customers from BIG-IP foundations toward modern hybrid, distributed-cloud, and containerized architectures.
- Lead technical discovery, design validation, and solution demonstrations for WAAP, API protection, Bot Defense, DDoS mitigation, and Zero Trust access.
- Help customers modernize traffic management, Kubernetes ingress, AI inference pipelines, and AI Gateway architectures.
- Demonstrate Infrastructure-as-Code and automated declarative workflows using Terraform or Ansible.
- Lead technical evaluations, validate customer priorities, and communicate F5’s differentiated value in competitive situations.
- Share customer insights with F5 Product and Engineering teams to influence cloud and security roadmaps.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, systems engineering, technical consulting, or an equivalent customer-aligned solutions architecture role.
- Experience supporting large enterprise accounts, especially in highly regulated or high-compliance industries.
- Ability to connect technical capabilities to business outcomes and build trust with engineers and executive stakeholders.
- Experience with edge cloud or WAAP platforms, API gateways, or hyperscaler cloud networking.
- Understanding of web application security, API protection, automated threat mitigation, and Zero Trust principles.
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, ingress controllers, API gateways, or service mesh technologies such as NGINX.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and hybrid connectivity patterns.
- Experience with Python, Go, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, or comparable automation and programmability tools.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise ADCs, traffic management, security infrastructure, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, HTTP/2, SSL/TLS, DNS, and Unix/Linux systems.
- Familiarity with securing or optimizing AI workloads, LLM inference endpoints, or modern data services.
- BS/BA degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical industry experience.
- Industry certifications such as Kubernetes CKA, cloud solutions architect certifications, or CISSP are preferred but not required.
Benefits
- Annual base pay is $127,400.00-$191,200.00, with potential incentive compensation, bonuses, restricted stock units, and benefits.
