Responsibilities
- Partner directly with customers to translate scheduling and planning problems into optimization models.
- Configure, extend, and debug the core scheduling engine and related components against live customer datasets.
- Build and iterate on solutions with customer teams under tight deadlines.
- Gather requirements, explain trade-offs, and present results to customers.
- Diagnose optimizer performance and quality issues and resolve them efficiently.
- Feed field learnings back to product and engineering teams to improve the platform.
- Build trusted relationships with customer teams while delivering working solutions.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background with ideally hands-on C#/.NET experience and comfort modifying a large codebase.
- Hands-on experience with optimization techniques, constraint programming, mathematical or linear programming, heuristics, or algorithm development.
- Comfort working directly with customers and communicating technical trade-offs and results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in ambiguous, real-world environments.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping production AI applications.
- Preferred experience with Angular, TypeScript, or other modern frontend frameworks.
- Preferred background in workforce or resource scheduling, large-scale data modeling, enterprise SaaS platforms, or vertical-specific optimization products.
