Responsibilities
- Translate customer business challenges into agentic AI applications and generative AI use cases.
- Build and iterate agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, LLM API integrations, and production AI applications.
- Process unstructured data into structured knowledge, including ontology extraction.
- Write production-grade Python and FastAPI services and contribute to design, testing, code review, and deployment practices.
- Work with relational, graph, and vector databases to model and serve data behind AI applications.
- Collaborate with platform engineering on deployment, hosting, MLOps, and LLMOps without owning the underlying infrastructure.
- Define AI governance, data privacy boundaries, policy enforcement, and responsible-use guardrails.
- Instrument AI applications for observability and troubleshoot performance and reliability issues.
- Guide clients through legacy modernization into AI-enabled workflows and translate business requirements into technical roadmaps.
- Share deployment learnings, reusable agentic patterns, and feedback with core AI platform teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with exposure to AI/ML integration and API design.
- Strong Python and FastAPI engineering skills with experience in software design, testing, code review, CI/CD, Git, and GitHub.
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI Agents SDK, or Google Agent Development Kit, plus MCP.
- Practical experience building RAG and LLM-based pipelines and working with vector databases.
- Experience with Postgres, Neo4j, and Docker for building and running AI applications.
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, and the Hugging Face/open-source AI ecosystem is preferred.
- Experience with image understanding, OCR, policy-as-code using OPA/Rego, LLM governance, and responsible-use controls is preferred.
- Experience guiding clients through legacy application modernization and serving as a trusted technical advisor is preferred.
- Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Willingness to travel and work on customer premises as required.
