Responsibilities

  • Lead customer technical projects by designing and delivering production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion solutions, and ML/AI model integrations.
  • Guide end-to-end design, build, and deployment of data and AI applications for strategic customers.
  • Own architecture and design decisions, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
  • Embed with customer teams and engage stakeholders ranging from technical individual contributors to executives.
  • Scope technical delivery work, manage project outcomes, and collaborate with engagement managers, project managers, architects, engineering, product, support, and customer teams.
  • Provide product and implementation feedback and help resolve engagement-specific product and support issues.
  • Create reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across customer accounts and influence the Databricks product roadmap.

Requirements

  • Experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, software engineering, or full-stack development.
  • Ability to code in Python, Scala, JavaScript, or TypeScript and work with modern frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems, with expertise in one or more of AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark, including knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
  • Experience designing and deploying performant, production-grade end-to-end data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
  • Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
  • Experience delivering technical projects, managing scope and timelines, and translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across broad stakeholder groups.
  • Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills, with curiosity and adaptability toward new technologies supporting Databricks-based solutions.
  • Databricks Certification is an advantage.
