Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy AWS cloud infrastructure, particularly EKS.
- Develop and deploy non-cloud edge infrastructure for on-premise and portable equipment.
- Automate deployment processes and manage Kubernetes containers and AWS infrastructure.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems while improving reliability, scalability, availability, and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into infrastructure.
- Provide mentorship and team guidance while contributing hands-on technical execution.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with CI Polygraph and U.S. citizenship are required.
- Requires 5+ years of DevOps engineering or software development experience with a related bachelor's degree, 3 years with a related master's degree, or 9 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms and AWS services including EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Linux system administration, and scripting or programming in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with application, container, and operating-system deployment, scaling, and management.
- Familiarity with Git, Flux, and terminal-based environments.
- Experience serving as a technical lead, mentor, or manager for engineering teams.
- Big data technology experience with tools such as Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto is preferred.
- Must be able to work at the customer site in Columbia, MD, five days per week, and help open or close the workspace as needed.
