Responsibilities
- Develop a cutting-edge search engine using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Manage extensive data volumes with Google BigQuery and integrate with business intelligence systems and the data platform.
- Build and enhance high-traffic APIs with minimal latency.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, QA experts, and analysts to improve functionality and launch new features.
- Draft architectural decisions with the Tech Lead and evaluate new technologies.
- Investigate the reasons behind search outcomes and translate findings into technical enhancements.
- Maintain code quality through well-structured, efficient, and maintainable software.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience building scalable APIs using technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Go.
- Recent practical experience with a typed programming language such as TypeScript.
- Solid knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in an English-speaking and agile environment.
- Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch is a plus.
- Experience building data models with dbt is a plus.
- Experience with MPP data warehouses such as Redshift or BigQuery is a plus.
- Experience with centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions such as Datadog is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP and orchestration services such as Dagster or Airflow is a plus.
- Experience running data-processing pipelines with distributed data-processing frameworks is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning models or LLM-based systems is a plus.
