Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate large-scale distributed, API-driven systems supporting tens of thousands of users.
- Lead the design and implementation of AI-powered software solutions across CoStar brands.
- Build and integrate AI skills, agents, tools, and intelligent workflows into internal and customer-facing applications.
- Use AI models, telemetry, monitoring, observability, and automated diagnostics to improve reliability and reduce operational risk.
- Build automation that improves research workflows, information discovery, data quality, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product, Research, Data, and Engineering teams to identify valuable AI and automation opportunities.
- Write robust and maintainable code using React.js, JavaScript, C#, .NET Framework, AWS services, and SQL Server.
- Lead design discussions, establish development standards, conduct code reviews, and mentor engineers.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and engineering practices to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person university or college.
- 7+ years of professional full-stack software development experience building enterprise web applications and distributed systems.
- Experience with React.js, JavaScript, C#, .NET Framework/Web API, relational databases, database design, SQL development, and performance tuning.
- Experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale distributed, service-oriented systems and web applications.
- Understanding of AI technologies and hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, or Grok.
- Familiarity with large language models, prompt engineering, intelligent agents, or agent-based architectures.
- Experience with monitoring, telemetry, observability, automated diagnostics, and production troubleshooting.
- Understanding of data quality principles, data governance concepts, and data-centric application design.
- Experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
- Preferred qualifications include Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud architecture experience; advanced SQL and query optimization; RESTful web services and enterprise APIs; workflow automation or intelligent search; machine learning production systems; and LLM platforms such as Azure AI Foundry or AWS Bedrock.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with business and technical partners are preferred.
