Responsibilities
- Become the first QA engineer on the Personify team.
- Own the team’s testing strategy.
- Automate testing extensively and perform manual testing where appropriate.
- Test frontend and backend applications.
- Apply AI tools and approaches to testing.
- Contribute to technical design decisions.
- Review code.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QAs from other teams.
- Help teammates grow.
Requirements
- Past experience in QA Automation or SDET roles.
- Professional experience building test plans.
- Professional experience with test automation for frontend and backend applications.
- Professional experience with Playwright or Cypress.
- Experience building and owning a test strategy is preferred.
- Experience adopting AI approaches to working and testing is preferred.
- Experience extending CI/CD pipelines with automated gates is preferred.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests is preferred.
- Ability to conduct reviews and provide constructive feedback is preferred.
- Experience with GitLab, Jest, and BrowserStack is a plus.
- Experience with infrastructure as code and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Experience with the Shopify and ecommerce ecosystems is a plus.
- Strong team-player orientation and support for fellow teammates.
