Base Salary
$204k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead Airbnb’s Automation Platform, a large-scale conversational AI platform for Community Support
- Automate provisioning for internal human agents and AI agents
- Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and data science teams to develop backend systems and improve AI prompt effectiveness
- Drive the technical vision and strategy for workflow and backend optimization
- Lead and contribute to technical design, implementation, testing, experimentation, and deployment
- Participate in code and design reviews and improve system availability, performance, scalability, efficiency, and resilience
Requirements
- 9+ years of software development experience in service-oriented architectures and backend development
- Expertise in workflow optimization, scalable backend systems, flexible architecture, prompt engineering, RAG patterns, memory routing, and agent planning
- Experience integrating LLMs with APIs, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s/Ph.D. degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams and domains
