Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain a scalable data and AI platform that enables automation and self-service for data scientists, analytics engineers, and analysts.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, data scientists, and data analysts to take ideas from concept through production delivery.
  • Shape the technical direction of the platform with a focus on scalability, performance, and customer-centric architecture.
  • Support, coach, and mentor engineers on the team.
  • Improve team delivery practices and make it easier for the team to complete work effectively.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant development experience building production-grade solutions.
  • 5+ years leading the design of reliable and scalable services and APIs.
  • Practical production knowledge of SaaS products.
  • Proficiency with a high-order object-oriented language, especially Python; experience with Go, Java, Scala, or C# is also considered.
  • Exposure to event-driven architectures and high-volume data processing.
  • Practical experience with event-stream processing, transformation, and enrichment using Flink and Kafka.
  • Practical exposure to CI/CD pipelines for production services.
  • Familiarity with public cloud service platforms.
  • Experience collaborating with remote teams across different time zones.
  • A proven ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
  • Experience building observability and monitoring into applications.
  • Preferred: familiarity with change data capture, ML or AI platforms such as Metaflow, containerization and Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code such as Terraform.
