Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain a scalable data and AI platform that enables automation and self-service for data scientists, analytics engineers, and analysts.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, data scientists, and data analysts to take ideas from concept through production delivery.
- Shape the technical direction of the platform with a focus on scalability, performance, and customer-centric architecture.
- Support, coach, and mentor engineers on the team.
- Improve team delivery practices and make it easier for the team to complete work effectively.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant development experience building production-grade solutions.
- 5+ years leading the design of reliable and scalable services and APIs.
- Practical production knowledge of SaaS products.
- Proficiency with a high-order object-oriented language, especially Python; experience with Go, Java, Scala, or C# is also considered.
- Exposure to event-driven architectures and high-volume data processing.
- Practical experience with event-stream processing, transformation, and enrichment using Flink and Kafka.
- Practical exposure to CI/CD pipelines for production services.
- Familiarity with public cloud service platforms.
- Experience collaborating with remote teams across different time zones.
- A proven ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
- Experience building observability and monitoring into applications.
- Preferred: familiarity with change data capture, ML or AI platforms such as Metaflow, containerization and Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code such as Terraform.
