Base Salary
$190k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend systems for customer-facing products.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, product managers, and designers to build multi-channel messaging applications.
- Implement and optimize systems that process and deliver billions of messages daily.
- Improve code quality through code reviews, testing, and engineering best practices.
- Identify and address technical debt to support long-term codebase health.
- Drive architectural design and technical decisions.
- Develop AI- and LLM-powered applications for personalized messaging experimentation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience focused on backend systems.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Experience building and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of software development best practices, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
- Experience with service-oriented architecture and distributed systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with AWS services and cloud infrastructure is preferred.
- Knowledge of DynamoDB, Postgres, or Redis is preferred.
- Experience with messaging systems or streaming platforms such as Kafka or Pulsar is preferred.
- Familiarity with React and TypeScript is preferred.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
