Base Salary
$152k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as the in-house subject matter expert for Datadog’s LLM Observability product.
- Provide hands-on technical and architectural guidance to enterprise customers through Field teams.
- Create reference architectures, technical guides, cookbooks and documentation for Field teams and customers.
- Build proofs of concept and small-scale deployments to validate solutions and reproduce customer environments.
- Deliver actionable, field-informed feedback to Product Management and help influence product roadmaps.
- Drive customer adoption, usage and long-term success of LLM Observability.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering foundation with hands-on experience building and operating LLM-powered applications in production.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and observability concepts including tracing, metrics, logging, LLM spans, evaluations and prompt templates.
- Experience with Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Ability to understand codebases, architectural decisions, tradeoffs and implementation details.
- Strong ownership, consultative, listening and customer-support skills in complex, high-pressure situations.
- Ability to sit for up to 4 hours and travel by automobile, train or air up to 40% of the time.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience working as an Architect or Consultant.
- Preferred: Experience with Datadog or other observability tools in an SRE or DevOps capacity.
- Preferred: Experience with LLM application evaluation and testing frameworks.
