Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, scalable Java-based applications for complex enterprise requirements.
- Lead architecture and implementation of highly available, secure, and performant cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Drive adoption and improvement of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery automation.
- Lead responsible use and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools across coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and incident analysis.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and establish engineering practices that improve quality and consistency.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and foster technical growth and ownership.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with advanced applied experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Java and experience building and maintaining large-scale production applications.
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying cloud-native solutions on AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and EKS.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with industry-standard tools.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, influence design decisions, and align engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, Datadog, Splunk, observability, cloud and application security, and architecture in large matrixed enterprises.
