Responsibilities
- Develop and support Scala-based regulatory reporting systems for Equity Swaps Trading and global compliance obligations.
- Build enhancements and fixes for intraday and end-of-day reporting systems.
- Perform unit testing, support UAT, prepare release notes, coordinate signoff, assist with deployments, and provide post-release production support.
- Own complex technical problems and key feature delivery in partnership with business users and stakeholders.
- Support front-, middle-, and back-office trading technology for OTC equity swap, single-name, and index derivative businesses.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a science discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Enterprise-level Scala development experience is preferred; strong Java developers interested in learning Scala will also be considered.
- Experience with message- and event-based architectures, including MQ and Kafka.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Basic scripting experience in Unix, Perl, or Python is beneficial.
- Experience with relational databases and writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude, Amp, Deep Search, or similar to accelerate software development while maintaining technical oversight.
- Understanding of global regulatory reporting, equity derivatives, database performance tuning, and AI-assisted development workflows is helpful but not essential.
