Responsibilities
- Develop and support Scala-based regulatory reporting systems for global equity swaps and derivative businesses.
- Build enhancements and fixes for intraday and end-of-day reporting systems.
- Perform unit testing, support UAT, prepare release notes, coordinate signoffs, and handle deployment and post-release production support.
- Own complex technical problems and key feature delivery while partnering with business users and stakeholders.
- Support global regulatory reporting and compliance requirements in a capital markets environment.
Requirements
- Strong Java development experience with interest in learning Scala, or enterprise-level Scala development experience.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude, Amp, Deep Search, or similar while maintaining technical judgment and oversight.
- Understanding of message- and event-based architectures, including MQ and Kafka.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Experience with relational databases and writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Science, or equivalent experience.
- Basic Unix, Perl, or Python scripting experience is beneficial.
- Understanding of global regulatory reporting, equity derivatives, database performance tuning, and AI-assisted development workflows is beneficial.
