Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of security engineering initiatives.
- Build scalable security platforms and distributed systems.
- Collaborate with Security, Engineering, Infrastructure, and GRC teams on production-ready solutions.
- Drive architecture, technical design reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and security solutions through prototypes and technical investigations.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong technical leadership experience leading complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Proficiency in one or more of Java, Go, Python, or C++.
- Experience designing, building, and operating highly scalable and reliable software platforms.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, distributed systems, performance, and reliability.
- Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS, including IAM, security controls, logging, and access management.
- Security engineering experience in areas such as vulnerability management, GRC, application and data security, IAM, detection and response, or security automation.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience building security products, platforms, or services at scale.
- Preferred: experience leveraging AI technologies to improve security capabilities or engineering productivity.
- Preferred: experience driving architecture and technical strategy across multiple teams and organizations.
- Preferred: experience solving large-scale availability, scalability, and performance challenges in production environments.
