Responsibilities

  • Deploy as Red Hat’s technical lead for trusted software supply-chain engagements and partner with Account Solution Architects and Account Executives to drive Lightwell adoption.
  • Lead technical discussions with developers, build and platform engineers, application leadership, and security and compliance stakeholders.
  • Configure, execute, and troubleshoot customer builds using Lightwell repositories alongside customer engineers.
  • Conduct technical deep dives, proofs of concept, bake-offs, internal sprints, hackathons, workshops, and business-value sessions.
  • Advise on artifact management, mirroring, pipeline integration, disconnected environments, and air-gapped delivery.
  • Demonstrate hardened container images, artifact signing, attestation, SBOM generation, pipeline policy enforcement, and runtime security.
  • Provide product feedback, ecosystem requests, competitive intelligence, documentation, and feature-testing support to the Lightwell business unit and engineering teams.
  • Support customer advocacy, conference speaking, blog posts, partner solutions, and enablement and mentoring for Red Hat Technical Sales.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of combined experience in software engineering, build/release engineering, platform engineering, DevSecOps, or technical sales, including responsibility for software with dependency and upgrade obligations.
  • Hands-on experience working in customer or production build environments and configuring, executing, and troubleshooting enterprise builds.
  • Working command of at least two of Maven, pip, and npm, including dependency resolution, transitive dependencies, lockfiles, and version constraints.
  • Understanding of enterprise build configuration, registry and repository settings, package proxies and mirrors, reproducible builds, disconnected delivery, and multi-language codebases.
  • Knowledge of SLSA Level 3, SBOM formats and lifecycle including SPDX and CycloneDX, artifact signing and verification, HSM-backed signing, attestation, build and admission enforcement, VEX, CSAF, provenance, typosquatting, and dependency confusion.
  • Experience delivering technical presentations and business-value sessions, communicating with engineering audiences and executives, and representing product coverage and roadmaps accurately.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customers and business requirements.
  • Preferred: sales engineering or technical sales experience at an enterprise software company, SaaS company, or systems integrator.
  • Preferred: professional software development in Java or Python ecosystems, ownership of CI/CD systems, artifact repositories, or internal developer platforms, and enterprise-scale DevSecOps experience.
  • Preferred: application or product security experience, upstream open source participation, familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, Ansible Automation Platform, relevant compliance regimes, and control automation.
