Responsibilities

  • Drive customer, business, and technology outcomes by identifying and advancing key opportunities across the company.
  • Lead significant technology initiatives end-to-end, including horizontal architecture layers.
  • Design and implement durable, scalable, secure, highly available software solutions for critical customer problems.
  • Apply AI technologies to customer problems, including evaluating solution accuracy and understanding model capabilities, limitations, and tradeoffs.
  • Partner with architecture, product management, operations, and other cross-functional groups to design, develop, test, release, and integrate features.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, patterns, best practices, technology prototypes, patent proposals, and process improvements.
  • Mentor team members and communicate effectively with technical, non-technical, and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments.
  • 7+ years of experience designing complex distributed systems, management products, or business applications.
  • Full-stack development experience applying AI technologies and tools to user experiences or backend solutions.
  • Experience with AI technologies such as SageMaker, Vert.x, LangChain, Large Language Models, Prompt Engineering, DialogFlow, and Python.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, SwiftUI, or Kotlin, or back-end technologies such as Java, TypeScript, Spring, or Express with NodeJS.
  • At least 1 year of experience working on teams that built AI-native applications.
  • Prior experience in a cloud computing environment such as AWS or GCP is highly desired.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related area.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, mentoring, collaboration, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in complex, fast-paced environments and with global teams across time zones.

  • Competitive compensation package with cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits under applicable plans and programs.
  • Expected base pay range of Toronto $179,500–$242,500.
