Responsibilities
- Build and operate data platform components for streaming ingestion and MPP query and serving.
- Contribute code from design through delivery and own features and bug fixes.
- Participate in production operations, including on-call, debugging, and performance and data-quality tuning.
- Participate in code reviews and write clear documentation.
- Collaborate with team and partner teams to deliver reliable and performant data infrastructure.
Requirements
- Have 3+ years of software engineering experience with solid distributed-systems and data fundamentals.
- Have exposure to or experience with data platform systems, including Flink and MPP query engines such as StarRocks, Trino, Apache Pinot, Apache Doris, or Druid.
- Have experience or strong aptitude for operating high-scale data platform systems, including on-call participation and production debugging.
- Demonstrate strong coding skills in Java, Scala, or Python.
- Be familiar with cloud data infrastructure on GCP or AWS.
- Open-source contributions to relevant projects are a strong positive.
