Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans for database-driven applications and services.
- Perform manual and automated functional, application, regression, integration, load, stress, and performance testing.
- Validate data accuracy, schema integrity, query performance, and scalability across multiple environments.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and test suites.
- Partner with developers to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve defects.
- Document test results, create detailed defect reports, and track issues through resolution.
- Collaborate with developers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other cross-functional teams on end-to-end test strategies.
- Analyze requirements and contribute to test design, development, and ongoing test-suite maintenance.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in software testing, preferably with database products or data-intensive applications.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, and stored procedures.
- Strong experience with relational databases such as Snowflake, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks and performance testing tools.
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow, Cucumber, or similar is highly desirable.
- ETL/ELT experience is a plus.
- Prior experience using AI-assisted tools for test automation is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, attention-to-detail, and ownership skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies, tools, and systems quickly.
