Base Salary
$72k - $144k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support the adoption and evolution of performance engineering practices across applications and teams.
- Design, develop, and execute performance tests to identify bottlenecks and performance risks.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Analyze test results and recommend improvements to application scalability, stability, and performance.
- Develop and maintain performance-testing scripts using industry-standard tools.
- Monitor application performance and help identify and resolve performance issues.
- Support capacity planning, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis.
- Document performance-testing processes, standards, and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of engineering experience, including performance testing or performance engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience with performance-testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or Gatling.
- At least 2 years of experience with cloud platforms and container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- At least 2 years of experience with programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic, or Grafana.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, application architecture, databases, APIs, and network fundamentals.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, including a high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience.
- Healthcare IT, HIPAA, complex enterprise performance-testing, observability, shift-left testing, Agile, and cross-functional collaboration experience are preferred.
