Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and own backend systems, services, APIs, and components supporting industrial robot controllers.
- Develop low-latency communication paths using high-performance HTTP services and inter-process communication such as ZeroMQ.
- Integrate sensors, 3D cameras, industrial devices, sensor SDKs, drivers, and APIs into predictable data flows.
- Build and continuously improve high-performance, data-intensive backend pipelines and efficient database access patterns.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues spanning application logic, operating-system behavior, and device interaction.
- Improve controller provisioning, reset, upgrade, observability, diagnostics, operational tooling, system metrics, and reliability.
- Make architectural and design decisions balancing performance, reliability, and maintainability while driving improvements independently through rollout.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent academic or work experience.
- Excellent experience and high proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Advanced Linux usage and excellent experience in Linux software development.
- Expertise in Linux internals, networking stacks, network protocols, routing, asynchronous I/O, Docker, and Docker internals.
- Experience in full-stack development.
- Technical communication skills in English.
- Preferred qualifications include expertise in real-time operating systems, Linux kernel module development, and EtherCAT.
- Experience in robotic software development is preferred.
- Ability to take ownership, work proactively and independently, investigate unfamiliar problems deeply, and collaborate across teams.
