Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust build and deployment systems for efficient software delivery.
- Automate build, installation, packaging, and deployment processes across Linux and Windows environments.
- Maintain reliable build pipelines and enable development teams through effective tooling.
- Develop scalable build systems for customer-facing SaaS products.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and operations teams in a distributed remote environment.
- Provide mentoring and support to other engineers and developers.
- Use data-driven decision-making and strong debugging and analytical skills to improve automation and reliability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building large-scale distributed applications.
- Strong experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications.
- Experience with microservices and cloud-based architectures or design patterns.
- Proficiency with build tools such as CMake, Make, Gradle, or Maven.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Strong scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with Git or SVN and branching strategies.
- Experience with software packaging and installation tools such as InstallShield, NSIS, or WiX Toolset.
- Solid understanding of Linux, Windows, and macOS operating systems.
- Experience deploying applications with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization technologies.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Java is a plus.
- Experience with SQL Server and MySQL is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a distributed remote team.
