Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of reliable, scalable, performant, and secure production platforms and services.
- Build and maintain resilient infrastructure and deployment patterns with cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship while promoting engineering standards and operational best practices.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support critical services and platform availability.
- Drive standardization, automation, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute across the full platform and service delivery lifecycle, from design and build through operation and optimization.
Requirements
- Require 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or software engineering roles.
- Require strong Kubernetes, container, and container orchestration experience at scale.
- Require hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Require programming skills in at least one object-oriented language and effective scripting and automation capabilities.
- Require strong infrastructure, platform, and service security knowledge.
- Require significant hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform and broad exposure to AWS, GCP, or OCI.
- Require monitoring, alerting, and observability experience with tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
- Require knowledge of networking fundamentals, distributed systems, and Linux and/or Windows systems administration.
- Require experience with software delivery automation, CI/CD pipelines, secure SDLC practices, and static and dynamic security testing.
- Require understanding of SRE concepts including SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, toil reduction, availability, and observability.
- Strong production Elasticsearch management and scaling experience is preferred.
- Kafka, MySQL and/or PostgreSQL, Redis, and networking experience are preferred.
