Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, debug, performance-tune, and deliver high-quality full-stack software solutions.
  • Shape solution architecture, implementation strategy, integration patterns, and delivery approaches for complex initiatives.
  • Evaluate technology and architecture options, communicate trade-offs, and manage technical, operational, security, and delivery risks.
  • Lead code reviews, design reviews, engineering discussions, and continuous improvements in quality, testing, automation, observability, reliability, and production readiness.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, design discussions, troubleshooting, and practical guidance.
  • Partner with technical, business, product, operations, risk, compliance, architecture, platform, and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate dependencies across teams, platforms, shared services, and external partners.
  • Support production stability through root-cause analysis, durable corrective actions, monitoring improvements, and operational controls.
  • Contribute to cloud adoption, containerized platforms, API-first design, event-driven architecture, reusable UI capabilities, workflow automation, and AI-enabled engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on software engineering experience designing and building enterprise-grade applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, including RESTful APIs, microservices, integrations, and distributed systems.
  • Strong front-end development experience with Angular, TypeScript, modern state-management patterns, responsive design, and component-based architecture.
  • Working proficiency in Python for application development, automation, data processing, or engineering productivity.
  • Experience making and explaining architecture and design decisions, including assumptions, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Experience with cloud-native platforms, containers, Kubernetes or OpenShift, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and secure software delivery practices.
  • Ability to conduct constructive code reviews, improve engineering quality, and mentor less-experienced developers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ownership of complex initiatives, cross-team dependencies, production issues, and risk mitigation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred experience includes financial services or other regulated environments, event-driven systems, messaging platforms, asynchronous workflows, legacy modernization, container or cloud migrations, application security, enterprise authentication and authorization, data protection, auditability, regulatory controls, AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, distributed teams, external vendors, or strategic technology partners.
