Responsibilities
- Consult with internal business groups and provide advanced application software development services and technical support.
- Advise IT and business managers on technical issues, challenges, and strategic initiatives.
- Design, develop, maintain, and integrate front-end and back-end application components into scalable systems.
- Write efficient, testable, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews and development best practices.
- Design comprehensive testing and test automation solutions and produce technical designs, documentation, layouts, and flowcharts.
- Manage technical debt, modernization efforts, software performance, security, privacy, and technical currency.
- Resolve complex technical problems and help implement technology strategies across large IT organizations.
- Educate stakeholders, deliver presentations, advocate for innovative solutions, and mentor junior engineers.
- Complete mandatory training and engage in continuous learning through development platforms such as Pluralsight.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 14 years of software development experience.
- Strong full-stack development expertise across front-end and back-end technologies.
- Proficiency with C#, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, and JSON.
- Experience with application development frameworks and containerization technologies.
- Working knowledge of security principles, relational databases, and application architecture design.
- Ability to understand technology interdependencies and the business impact of future IT plans.
- Extensive experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and structured development approaches.
- Broad experience with multi-platform development tools, toolkits, and enterprise application environments.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, collaboration, teamwork, interpersonal, mentoring, and influencing skills.
