Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture, implementation, launch, and long-term operation of large-scale business-critical forecasting systems.
  • Build data ingestion and feature pipelines, automated training and evaluation, online and batch inference, model deployment, and model monitoring platforms.
  • Translate applied and data science prototypes into production systems and influence modeling decisions based on engineering constraints.
  • Drive cross-team technical decisions, resolve design disagreements, and build alignment on architecture.
  • Improve instrumentation, accuracy telemetry, operational readiness, on-call quality, latency, and cost efficiency at scale.
  • Identify high-leverage engineering opportunities and support roadmap decisions with data.
  • Mentor engineers and scientists on software design, testing, and production discipline through code and design reviews.
  • Represent the team's technical position to senior leaders and partner teams across the advertising stack.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
  • Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development life-cycle experience covering coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
