Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 21 and Spring Boot.
- Develop and integrate REST and SOAP APIs for communication between internal and external systems.
- Implement and maintain event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
- Design SQL database solutions, optimize queries, and manage data persistence.
- Develop and maintain automated integration tests using Testcontainers.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend applications for performance, stability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and business analysts to deliver software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to application deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in containerized environments.
Requirements
- Experience developing scalable backend applications with Java 21 and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing and integrating REST and SOAP APIs.
- Experience implementing event-driven architectures with Apache Kafka.
- Experience working with SQL databases, including database design, query optimization, and data persistence.
- Experience developing automated integration tests with Testcontainers.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend applications.
- Ability to collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and business analysts.
- Experience with code reviews and technical discussions.
- Experience contributing to deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in containerized environments.
- Nice-to-have experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes, banking or financial-services integrations, transaction processing, data consistency, secure financial-system communication, Docker, and cloud-native application development.
