Responsibilities
- Design and scale AI assistants, agents, and workflows supporting software development.
- Build production solutions for code understanding, documentation, testing, engineering Q&A, knowledge retrieval, and secure tool integration.
- Identify engineering productivity use cases, define solution designs, develop prototypes, and create adoption plans with measurable outcomes.
- Develop reusable APIs, prompt libraries, agent templates, connectors, and engineering accelerators.
- Integrate AI solutions with repositories, issue trackers, CI/CD platforms, collaboration tools, internal portals, knowledge bases, and service catalogs.
- Establish standards for testing, documentation, monitoring, lifecycle management, security, governance, responsible AI, and risk controls.
- Promote adoption through demos, pilots, workshops, training, and documentation while measuring usage, efficiency, quality, and developer feedback.
- Provide architecture, integration, testing, and production-readiness guidance; lead initiatives, mentor developers, and improve engineering productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, platform engineering, AI solutions, automation, developer tools, or related technical fields.
- Hands-on experience building production software, APIs, integrations, automation frameworks, developer tools, or enterprise platforms.
- Experience designing and implementing AI solutions involving agents, assistants, prompt workflows, RAG, knowledge search, and workflow automation.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle activities, including agentic development, analysis, design, coding, testing, code reviews, documentation, release support, and troubleshooting.
- Experience partnering with engineering teams to validate prototypes, prioritize opportunities, and deliver scalable reusable solutions.
- Understanding of security, access control, data handling, compliance, responsible AI, quality assurance, and operational support for AI-enabled systems.
- Ability to create technical designs, implementation plans, reusable patterns, adoption materials, and business-focused technical summaries.
- Strong communication, collaboration, initiative leadership, mentoring, workshop facilitation, demonstration, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
- Preferred experience with LLMs, agent frameworks, prompt engineering, vector databases, embeddings, RAG, tool calling, model evaluation, developer platforms, cloud services, serverless architectures, containers, microservices, event-driven systems, and AI solution testing.
- Preferred familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Backstage, OpenAI-compatible APIs, engineering-system connectors, and self-service developer enablement programs.
- Cloud, AI, software engineering, security, or DevOps certifications are a plus.
