Responsibilities

  • Define optimized test strategies and methodologies for AI infrastructure.
  • Build automated tests for cluster features, including high availability, failure scenarios, performance, stress, and security.
  • Break large distributed ML training and inference systems into components suitable for unit testing.
  • Test cluster software and hardware, including Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, ML wafer-scale accelerators, CPU runtime nodes, SwarmX interconnects, and MemoryX data-transfer systems.
  • Champion cluster security, reliability, observability, and 99.9999% uptime.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, AI, data science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience testing enterprise software, distributed systems, datacenter hardware, or datacenter software.
  • Strong coding skills in Python, Golang, or C/C++.
  • Strong debugging skills for large distributed systems, hardware, and software, including experience with tools such as pdb, gdb, strace, and network monitors.
  • Strong understanding of operating-system internals, memory management, file systems, security, performance, datacenter layouts, servers, memory, BIOS, PCIe, networking, and storage.
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker; Grafana and Prometheus experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of ML model training and inference and experience with ML hardware accelerators such as GPUs or custom accelerator ASICs are pluses.
