Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Solutions Engineers serving State, Local, and Higher Education accounts.
- Own and report the business impact of team activities, including demonstrations, technical deep dives, trials, and proof-of-value evaluations.
- Participate in deals and provide strategies and on-site support to help opportunities succeed.
- Partner with Sales leadership, Pre-Sales teams, and other Okta business units to execute growth plans.
- Recruit, ramp, mentor, and support the professional growth of Solutions Engineers.
Requirements
- Demonstrated success selling to US public-sector agencies, preferably SLED or federal accounts.
- Ability to influence technical decision-makers and executives and serve as an executive sponsor.
- Experience with MEDDPICC and value- or outcome-based selling methodologies.
- At least 12 years of pre-sales experience and 4 or more years of managerial or leadership experience.
- Bachelor of Science in engineering, science, or mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience includes security product market trends, Okta’s platform and roadmap, competitor offerings, firewalls, proxies, VPN, CASB, databases, and enterprise applications.
