Responsibilities
- Lead projects from concept to rollout, including design, delivery, and customer follow-up.
- Design, build, and operate core components of a distributed database.
- Engage with customers to translate pain points into manageable deliverables.
- Drive operational excellence by owning outcomes against SLOs and reducing toil through automation.
- Collaborate with other teams to enhance the usability of profiles across Grafana.
- Support teammates through design discussions, code reviews, and pairing.
- Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident response.
- Contribute to the open-source community by engaging with external contributions.
Requirements
- Solid experience with a systems programming language, preferably Go.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems in production.
- Strong product sense and ability to translate customer needs into deliverables.
- Curiosity and courage to challenge the status quo.
- Strong software craftsmanship with a focus on clean, maintainable code.
- Operational mindset with experience in SRE or infrastructure as code.
- Ability to communicate clearly in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
