Responsibilities
- Build and optimize GitLab CI pipelines covering build, testing, deployment, rollback, and end-to-end automation.
- Provision and manage Azure resources using Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Deploy and operate containerized workloads with AKS, Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless functions.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, performance tuning, incident response, and root cause analysis.
- Integrate security controls, Azure Policy, role-based access control, secrets management, patching, and compliance practices.
- Plan and support cloud migrations, cost optimization, highly available systems, and redundant infrastructure.
- Lead technical direction, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and collaborate with developers, architects, security, product teams, and executives.
- Install, configure, maintain, design, integrate, and support multiplatform hardware, software, systems, and enterprise applications.
- Plan and coordinate complex software and hardware releases, assess production readiness, restore computing services, and maintain operational documentation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering, including 3+ years with Microsoft Azure or another cloud platform.
- Proven ability to design, operate, and support secure, scalable, highly available cloud platforms while providing hands-on technical support and strategic guidance.
- At least 5 years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- At least 5 years of software development experience and at least 2 years of Linux and network administration experience.
- Experience with Eclipse, Git, Jira, VersionOne, Argo CD, and GitLab CI/CD, as well as on-premises deployments and Agile delivery teams.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AI/ML, Java, Python, Node.js, HTML, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Oracle, production operations, monitoring and logging tools, service mesh architectures, and Coverity.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada, eligible for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian Secret Level II security clearance, and eligible to handle U.S. export-controlled data.
- Must satisfy the company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process.

- Hybrid work arrangement with some onsite work required at the Richmond, BC location, subject to hiring-team discretion and possible future change.
- Employment is locally hired through Boeing Canada rather than Boeing U.S. payroll and is not an expatriate assignment.
