Responsibilities
- Design infrastructure and automated systems for distributed architectures.
- Build, manage, and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliability, speed, and shorter change lead times.
- Forecast infrastructure needs and improve platform efficiency and cost.
- Identify and resolve infrastructure and application performance bottlenecks.
- Maintain highly available web and backend systems serving millions of users and thousands of requests per second.
- Deploy and configure AWS cloud services in collaboration with developers.
- Operate and scale Kubernetes, EKS, databases, message queues, and other distributed systems.
- Secure infrastructure at the cloud and application layers using IAM and PKI.
- Build monitoring, alerting, logging, infrastructure-as-code, developer productivity, and automation tooling.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of DevOps or software development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience building, maintaining, and scaling PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and DynamoDB technologies.
- At least 2 years of experience orchestrating large-scale distributed microservice deployments on Kubernetes and EC2.
- At least 2 years of experience building and managing EKS clusters with strong Kubernetes ecosystem knowledge.
- At least 2 years of experience with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK or OpenSearch, and PagerDuty-based monitoring and alerting.
- Ability to architect, analyze, troubleshoot, and support complex distributed systems.
- Experience automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience building tooling, automation, or services in one or more languages such as Go, Python, Bash, or TypeScript.
- Experience debugging and optimizing systems and code.
- Familiarity with service mesh concepts and experience implementing Istio or Linkerd with Kubernetes clusters.
- Production experience troubleshooting and autoscaling highly available message queueing clusters such as RabbitMQ, SQS, or Kafka.
- Security-focused experience with infrastructure as code, Docker build pipelines, and microservice deployments.
