Responsibilities
- Build and operate an AWS environment for internal applications using S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, and IAM.
- Own source control, versioning, deployments, releases, rollbacks, monitoring, and documentation.
- Define and enforce role-based access tiers through Okta.
- Inventory internal applications and assess their data exposure and access risks.
- Own vulnerability remediation, including tracking, prioritization, and closure.
- Develop and maintain internal applications where needed.
- Define integration standards and evaluate vendor-provided, open-source, and custom integration approaches.
- Build and maintain reusable integrations between internal applications and systems of record.
- Assess inherited applications for retention, migration, or retirement and manage patching, credential rotation, cost reviews, and access reviews.
- Partner with AI Enablement and support Workato, BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran, and Tableau systems.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development or cloud infrastructure experience with hands-on production ownership of an AWS environment.
- Practical experience with AWS managed services including S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, and IAM.
- Experience implementing SSO and identity-based access control, ideally with Okta.
- Strong fundamentals in source control, environments, versioning, rollback, and documentation.
- Experience with security and compliance in a SaaS environment, including audit trails, sensitive-data handling, and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience integrating enterprise SaaS systems through APIs and enough MCP familiarity to evaluate vendor implementations.
- Sound judgment about when to use vendor or open-source solutions instead of building custom software.
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock, Workato, or governed low-code builders is preferred.
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
