Responsibilities
- Guide Marketing Cloud developers and specialists, set technical direction, review designs and code, and ensure architecturally sound solutions.
- Oversee end-to-end Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation delivery, including data integrity, performance, compliance, quality, governance, security, and documentation.
- Evaluate Salesforce Marketing Cloud features and releases and translate them into recommendations for teams and stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and development plans aligned with IT and marketing objectives.
- Lead technical design sessions, walkthroughs, grooming workshops, level-of-effort estimates, and stakeholder communications.
- Manage risks, dependencies, trade-offs, timelines, stakeholder expectations, and vendor evaluation for marketing technology solutions.
- Mentor and elevate team members through technical expertise, influence, and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud development and architecture experience.
- Experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Developer with demonstrated technical influence and cross-functional collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with AMPscript, SSJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Experience designing and supporting Marketing Cloud Connect implementations, API integrations, and data extensions for cross-channel campaigns.
- Experience with data modeling, data architecture, database concepts, and marketing data structures for segmentation, targeting, or campaign execution.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification such as Email Specialist, Consultant, Administrator, Developer, or Architect.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, user story creation, and sprint grooming.
- Strong communication, learning agility, proactive problem-solving, self-management, and ability to use AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT.
- Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience is preferred.
