Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end technical design and development of enterprise-scale Java applications.
- Own solution architecture for modules and domains, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Drive modernization initiatives including monolith-to-microservices migration and cloud adoption.
- Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Review architecture, code, and designs for quality and maintainability.
- Mentor and guide engineers and strengthen team technical capability.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, DevOps, QA, and product teams on integration and delivery.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for complex issues and production challenges.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on Java-based software development experience; the primary description states 10–15 years.
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead on enterprise or global projects and in product development environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, SQL Server, and MongoDB.
- Working knowledge of Angular or React.
- Experience with performance tuning, JVM optimization, event-driven architectures, messaging systems, Docker, cloud platforms, and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with Azure, Kubernetes or AKS, DevOps practices, monitoring, observability, domain-driven design, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and SonarQube.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, MCA, or master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and Lean Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication, analytical reasoning, problem-solving, learning, collaboration, and continuous-improvement skills.
