Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end technical design and development of enterprise-scale Java applications.
- Own solution architecture for modules and domains, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Drive modernization initiatives including cloud adoption and migration from monolithic systems.
- Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Review architecture, code, and designs for quality and maintainability.
- Mentor and guide engineers while building technical capability within teams.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, DevOps, QA, and product teams to support integration and delivery.
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex issues and production challenges.
- Drive technical direction, performance tuning, JVM optimization, system reliability, and cloud-native design.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on Java-based software development experience on global or enterprise projects; another posting section specifies 10–15 years.
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead in enterprise systems and product development environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Angular or React, SQL Server, and MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of design patterns, object-oriented programming, scalable architectures, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems.
- Experience with CI/CD, Docker, cloud platforms, container orchestration, monitoring, observability, domain-driven design, or enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with product development and modernization programs and familiarity with Agile, Lean Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent; MCA is also listed as an accepted qualification.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, self-motivation, and a team-oriented mindset.
