Staff Software Engineer (Full Stack) - Guest
Toast, Inc.Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain highly resilient and scalable features.
- Lead complex projects that improve functionality and reliability for customers and partners.
- Build automated tests and monitor feature rollouts for quality and success.
- Collaborate with UX, Product Management, and teams across Toast on feature definition and design.
- Influence technical direction across multiple teams.
- Mentor and coach other engineers.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience building backend services and APIs.
- Extensive experience with an object-oriented language such as Java or Kotlin, including strong testing, quality, and software engineering practices.
- Experience shipping production services, scaling distributed systems, and balancing delivery with platform stability and reliability.
- Experience building cloud-native systems on AWS.
- Strong cross-team communication skills and a customer-focused product mindset.
