Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust high-performance batch and real-time data pipelines and scalable data platforms on AWS.
- Shape data strategy and enterprise data architectures while improving reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Build and deploy production-grade generative AI, LLM, RAG, and agentic AI applications and guide AI applicability to customer problems.
- Collaborate with product, AI, data science, data platform, architecture, operations, and DevOps teams on end-to-end solutions.
- Conduct proof-of-concepts and lead solutions through production while contributing to technical strategy and thought leadership.
- Lead by example in unit testing, test automation, CI/CD, performance testing, capacity planning, documentation, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering or data engineering.
- Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, data pipeline development, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and batch and streaming processing.
- Strong AWS experience, including cloud data and compute services such as EC2, S3, EMR, Redshift, DynamoDB, and Athena; Azure or GCP familiarity is also listed.
- Experience with big-data and low-latency technologies including Hive, HBase, Storm, MapReduce, HDFS, Splunk, ZooKeeper, MemSQL, Cassandra, GraphDB, and real-time data analytics.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI models, LLMs, diffusion models, LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI or Anthropic APIs, and RAG implementations.
- Experience developing and deploying applications using Java, Kotlin, or Python, with preferred experience in PostgreSQL and OpenSearch.
- Knowledge of MLOps and LLMOps practices, including MLflow, Kubeflow, LangSmith, and CI/CD pipelines for AI workloads.
- Demonstrated ability to design and ship complex scalable systems, lead proof-of-concepts into production, and work effectively through collaboration and influence.
