Responsibilities
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, delivery, maintenance, and production support.
- Lead system and architectural design activities, design sessions, code reviews, coding concept discussions, and technical performance improvements across multiple teams.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, mentoring, and feedback to engineers and team members at all levels.
- Coordinate with architects, management, product, marketing, customer care, quality, and other functional teams on scope, capacity, timing, requirements, and delivery.
- Execute and review unit, integration, bug verification, release, and other test procedures and plans.
- Write implementation and test specifications, maintain software documentation, coordinate production deployments, and assess deployment risks and impacts.
- Estimate development changes and communicate effort, duration, schedules, and risks to stakeholders.
- Participate in interviewing, candidate selection, hiring, and staffing decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent directly related work experience in place of the degree.
- At least 6 years of experience writing highly complex code and translating customer requirements into technical requirements.
- At least 6 years of experience with .NET Core, .NET Framework, and microservices.
- Experience leading design, estimation, scope, timing, and capacity activities across cross-functional technology and business teams.
- Experience with hiring and coaching new team members and working across technical, business, and product teams.
- Experience with C#, AWS or Azure, Entity Framework Core or a similar ORM, Web API, MVC, RESTful services, Angular, React, Vue.js, SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum software development practices and methodologies, plus experience with code inspection tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, technical leadership, and collaboration skills.
