Responsibilities
- Develop, extend, execute, and analyze regression, functional, and performance test plans and automation.
- Identify, configure, test, and troubleshoot software, hardware, and network permutations.
- Develop scripts, programs, and tools to implement test automation.
- Build testbeds and network topologies, troubleshoot issues, and isolate problems.
- Develop and execute platform and software QA test scenarios for appliance hardware, storage, networking, and cloud environments.
- Document work, track issues, and participate in code and design reviews.
- Collaborate with software developers, subject matter experts, and networking experts.
- Work independently while applying software quality assurance best practices.
Requirements
- BTech, BS, MTech, MS, Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years of professional software experience focused on system and software QA.
- Strong background in appliance hardware qualification, NIC and storage subsystems, WAN technologies, and complex solutions.
- Knowledge of product architecture, system internals, BIOS, BMC, storage, PCIe, networking concepts, and L2-L7 protocols.
- Experience developing test plans and executing high-quality platform and software QA scenarios.
- Understanding of OCI, AWS, or Azure technologies.
- Automation or programming experience with Python, Playwright, or Selenium.
- Hands-on experience building testbeds and topologies and troubleshooting and isolating problems.
- Preferred experience with ESX, KVM, or Hyper-V virtualization.
- Preferred experience configuring and troubleshooting Windows, macOS, and Linux software and applications.
- Preferred experience with Jira, Bamboo, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and other continuous integration tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
