Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers to solve complex problems and deliver elegant solutions for Clio customers.
- Build and maintain performant, reliable, scalable web applications and large-scale SaaS products.
- Work with full-stack developers across diverse projects and collaborate with engineering teams in multiple countries.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on peer code.
- Optimize databases and help resolve complex technical problems.
- Learn new technologies, improve software development practices, and apply lessons from successful and failed projects.
Requirements
- Experience building web applications at scale and working with Ruby on Rails, or experience in Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript with willingness to learn Ruby.
- Experience with database optimization and large-scale systems.
- Demonstrated software development mentorship experience, particularly in Agile environments and large-scale SaaS products.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively with distributed teams and customers.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Curiosity, a drive to address root causes, and an interest in improving software development craft through AI.
- Portfolio of successful software projects and lessons learned from unsuccessful projects.
