Responsibilities
- Design, architect, develop, and deploy generative AI, LLM, agentic AI, and intelligent automation capabilities across AspenTech products.
- Drive AI product architecture and implementation from concept through production with attention to scalability, reliability, security, observability, governance, and customer value.
- Design and implement agentic AI systems involving planning, reasoning, tool orchestration, workflow automation, and multi-agent architectures.
- Collaborate with Software Development, Data Science, Product Management, and Engineering teams to identify and solve complex industrial challenges with AI.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and translate research innovations into production-ready product features.
- Provide mentorship, leadership, and guidance to entry-level developers.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of progressive software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, Go, Python, C#, or C++.
- Demonstrated experience developing and shipping AI-powered products and services in production environments.
- Experience with generative AI, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, and model evaluation.
- Experience designing and implementing agentic AI systems using planning, reasoning, tool orchestration, workflow automation, and multi-agent architectures.
- Proficiency with modern AI frameworks and tooling.
- Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise software products with focus on performance, observability, governance, security, and responsible AI practices.
- Familiarity with AI application lifecycle management, model deployment, monitoring, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
- Understanding of GPU-enabled cloud environments, vector databases, and distributed AI systems.
- Demonstrated ability to develop well-crafted code and solve problems creatively.
