Base Salary
$200k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Improve the monetization platform’s offer management, including packaging, plans, and pricing, and enhance billing data capture for revenue recognition and ARR reporting.
- Lead development of internal services, including introducing frameworks, optimizing APIs, and improving scale and reliability.
- Develop APIs and products in collaboration with product, design, support, quality, security, and platform teams.
- Perform code reviews, advocate software engineering best practices, and mentor other engineers.
- Architect solutions and share technical knowledge and best practices across squads.
- Design and build internal tooling that simplifies product development and maintenance.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience developing complex, distributed software applications at scale.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, MySQL, and Redis, with an essential understanding of ReactJS and web fundamentals.
- Strong database fundamentals, including query optimization, schema design, indexing, and caching.
- Strong infrastructure knowledge, including AWS systems, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and New Relic.
- Experience building products and services from scratch and leading teams on new and complex projects.
- Experience collaborating with and respectfully challenging stakeholders such as Product Managers and Engineering Managers.
- Understanding of monetization platforms, including payments, subscriptions, taxes, revenue recognition, sales-driven purchase contracts, and custom subscriptions, is a bonus.
