Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated test suites for customer-facing REST APIs and cloud components.
- Create performance benchmarks for millions of subscriber and data transactions.
- Develop frameworks and test suites for load and regression testing.
- Validate large-scale data transactions and generate detailed reports and KPIs.
- Automate build and regression testing with Jenkins pipelines and Robot Framework.
- Automate network management, provisioning, and configuration processes.
- Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
- Ensure network changes are version-controlled and reproducible.
- Set up monitoring to measure application and network infrastructure health and performance.
- Collaborate with telecom engineers, software developers, and cross-functional teams to improve QA processes.
- Champion robust test frameworks, automation, documentation, accountability, and ownership.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in validation and test automation for backend-heavy applications and cloud-deployed services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud QA Engineer in the software industry.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, cloud technologies, and cloud architectures.
- Experience validating backend-heavy applications, services, databases, microservices, and scalable systems.
- Hands-on experience with Robot Framework, JMeter, or TestNG.
- Ability to use Jenkins for test automation.
- Knowledge of SDLC, agile methodologies, code quality, and performance metrics.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI and version control systems such as Git.
- Proficiency in Shell, Python, or Ruby scripting.
- Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and telecom technologies.
- Experience using AI tools to generate test cases and test suites.
- Experience with network configuration management tools.
- Experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure cloud platforms.
- Relevant Cloud QA certifications are a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with cross-functional teams.
