Responsibilities
- Own quality engineering and continuous improvement initiatives across products and teams.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reusable test automation frameworks and testing best practices.
- Define test strategies, test plans, quality gates, acceptance criteria, and test data strategies.
- Build automated UI, API, integration, database, and end-to-end tests using TypeScript, Playwright, and Cucumber.
- Integrate automated testing into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Validate deployments, monitor application health, and support production readiness activities.
- Analyze defects and production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive preventive quality improvements.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, DevOps, operations, and stakeholders on quality objectives.
- Mentor and coach engineers on automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and quality engineering practices.
- Conduct framework reviews, technical workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and Communities of Practice.
Requirements
- 7-11 years of experience.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript for automation development and expertise with Playwright for UI and end-to-end testing.
- Hands-on experience with Cucumber/Gherkin and Behaviour Driven Development.
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable, configurable, and reusable test automation frameworks.
- Strong API testing experience using Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and Playwright API capabilities.
- Experience validating REST APIs, service integrations, authentication, business workflows, JSON payloads, and data structures.
- Strong SQL and data validation experience using Oracle SQL Developer and MySQL.
- Experience with Grafana, OpenSearch, and K9s for monitoring, troubleshooting, and deployment validation.
- Experience with Jira, Zephyr, and Confluence for test management, documentation, and reporting.
- Experience implementing automated test execution pipelines with GitLab CI/CD and using Git for source control.
- Knowledge of application deployment, monitoring, observability, quality engineering, and software development lifecycle practices.
- Ability to define comprehensive test coverage, identify quality risks, perform root cause analysis, and mentor engineers.
