- Create end-to-end test strategies and plans for multi-tenant control-plane capabilities, IAM, job orchestration, and metering.
- Review architectural RFCs and pull requests to define testability requirements, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Design and execute large-scale concurrency, stress, regression, API, integration, and chaos testing.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and provide fast, reliable quality feedback gates.
- Analyze production incidents, reproduce edge-case defects, and create permanent automated regression tests.
- Track and improve defect escape rate, automation coverage, and flaky-test ratios.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and developers on automation architecture, testing patterns, and quality practices.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of progressive software quality engineering or SDET experience focused on backend distributed systems and multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
- Strong coding skills in Python or Go, including data structures, object-oriented programming, and test automation design patterns.
- Experience building test automation frameworks from scratch using tools such as PyTest, Testify, RestAssured, Playwright, or Selenium.
- Advanced experience testing RESTful APIs and gRPC, including contract validation, schema backward compatibility, and mock services.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, and SQL for data validation and synthetic test data generation.
- Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Experience with chaos engineering tools such as Chaos Mesh, AWS FIS, or LitmusChaos is desirable.
- Domain experience in data protection, backup and recovery, storage, virtualization, or cyber resilience is desirable.
- Familiarity with SaaS security testing, OWASP Top 10, authentication flows, mTLS, and RBAC testing is desirable.
- Experience testing event-driven architectures and streaming pipelines with Apache Kafka or AWS SQS/SNS is desirable.
- Experience testing generative AI or LLM workflows and evaluating AI model outputs is desirable.
- Experience with Terraform for provisioning ephemeral test environments is desirable.
- B.Tech, B.E, M.E, or M.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
