Responsibilities
- Drive testing activities and quality strategy for complex microservices features.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive manual and automated functional, regression, and integration test cases.
- Build, configure, and optimize reliable test harnesses and test environments.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and reduce test execution cycle times.
- Partner with software development engineers to reproduce, triage, and resolve defects.
- Analyze test metrics and ensure coverage across supported operating systems and database environments.
- Establish testing standards and best practices for new platform capabilities.
- Mentor team members and serve as a subject matter expert in product test engineering and automation frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of professional experience testing enterprise software, preferably in a Java/J2EE environment.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain manual and automated test cases and test harnesses.
- Hands-on experience with automated UI testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Karate, or equivalent.
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.
- Experience configuring application servers across Windows Server and Linux/Unix environments.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, XML, and Java.
- Ability to collaborate with software development engineers on defect reproduction and resolution.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
- Comfort using AI development tools, prompting, agentic workflows, and human-in-the-loop review of AI-generated code.
- Preferred experience with LDAP, Active Directory, enterprise identity systems, AWS-hosted cloud-native applications, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
